The 3-jar budget

🎯 Goal: Split pocket money into three: Spend — Save — Give.
You can split money into 3 jars: Spend – Save – Give to use, keep, and share. A common ratio is 50/40/10, adjustable to your goals.

Let’s explore

🏺
Whenever you get pocket money, split it into 3 jars: SPEND (use now), SAVE (keep), GIVE (help others).
⚖️
A common split: 50% Spend — 40% Save — 10% Give. Adjust to your goals.
🎯
The Save jar lets you buy a bigger item that one payment cannot cover.
🧮
How to take a %: "x% of an amount" = Amount × x ÷ 100. With 100,000d: Spend 50% = 100,000 × 50 ÷ 100 = 50,000d; Save 40% = 40,000d; Give 10% = 10,000d. They add up to 100,000d.

Practice activity

🧮 You got 100,000d in lucky money. Split it 50/40/10 — how much per jar?
Worked example: You get 100,000d pocket money. Split: Spend 50,000d (snacks, outings), Save 40,000d (toward earphones), Give 10,000d (class fund). Put them in 3 clearly labeled envelopes.
